Aria Home Collection has been providing quality merchandise to its customers since 1999. Founded in the upscale Orange County city of Mission Viejo, AHC has been providing customers with high quality products, while pleasantly surprising customers with competitive prices.
I designed and developed the Aria Home Collection website in 2006 when I was working with Thomas at Si-Mel Solutions. The budget set forth for the website wasn’t very large considering the amount of products needed to be displayed, so we completely tossed the idea of developing a backend.
At the same time, it would’ve been challenging to add so many products to a website and not have some sort of dynamic means of updating common content blocks among all the pages. To get over this hurdle, I ended up using Dreamweaver’s template system to effectively update these blocks.
One thing to learn from this website is that while the design is fine, a budget was never set aside to search engine optimize the site, or market it in another way. After all these years, their website is still sitting at a PageRank of 0. No matter what your website looks like, traffic is the key to success.
