AnyData is a privately held wireless technologies company headquartered in Irvine, California. AnyData distributes its products through OEMs, wireless carriers and direct to consumers; their devices have been certified by carriers globally.
I designed and developed AnyData’s website while I was employed with one of their subsidiaries, AnyTrack. Not too much time was allotted to get the website up and running so I didn’t bother to install a content management system (CMS).
The website was coded using XHTML, a stricter/cleaner version of HTML, and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS). I also used PHP to make updating more efficient, seeing as how I would be responsible for maintenance (might as well make my life a little easier).
Being short for time, I wasn’t able to properly search engine optimize (SEO) their website, but having such an old domain name helped them out (age counts in the search engine rankings). Besides, the website I was replacing was as old as the domain; it was terrible.
Their domain name was maybe 5 or 6 years old at the time (2007) I redesigned everything and believe me, their branding desperately needed the work. So while I was giving them this new look, I did their business cards and product brochures too.
There were a lot of product brochures; I figure I’ll just show the best looking one. All the others they had me make the same and were kind of plain looking if you asked me. By the time I finished everything, their website had a Page Rank of 5.
