Amy is a graduate of the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in San Francisco, a winner of the Bank of America Award in Fine Arts, and has designed for companies you may have heard of: Dockers, JC Penny, Levi’s, Nine West, Petsmart, REI, Target and Walmart.
When she sought a higher paying position, I designed and developed a website for her that would showcase her talents and distinguish her from the other candidates in her interviews. Apparently it worked out pretty well; a director at St. John as well as others complimented her on her website.
For the purpose in mind, we didn’t need to build a high budget production; really a couple HTML pages with an emphasis on design was sufficient to achieve the goals set forth. After she landed her new job, I’d probably never update the site, until it came time for the next job.
In the end, she landed a gig at Van’s as a product developer and a year later moved onto working at The Program, an umbrella of companies owned by the snowboarding mega titan, Burton Snowboards. Her latest venture, AYG Consulting, demands my attention as well. You’ll be seeing it very soon.
